Week 10 – Today is the first day…
Aim of the week – Meet your beginner’s mind, meet today, meet now
“Every journey begins with a single step” Chinese proverb
Since you knew that you were going to be a mum, and even for a long time before that, your body has been doing AMAZING things. You have created new life inside you, you have given birth and now as a mum you are the focus of your family and the one everyone will look to for inspiration and advice on how to be well and happy and fulfilled in life.
Take a moment to think about everything that you wish for your child? Write a list…
Now look at that list and wish all of those things to yourself too.
Whether it is to be surrounded by love, to do something in life that they believe in, to be able to relax and enjoy each moment of growing up… you deserve all that too and so much more.
It is important for us to stop sometimes and look at all we have around us. Make yourself a nice cup of tea or coffee and try out this exercise with a gratitude list… can you fill it in?

As we finish the programme as it stands today, start another exercise for yourself…
Every night before you go to sleep, think of 3 things that you are grateful for just for this day. You can right them down if you wish, or just note them in your head.
Try to do it for at least three weeks and see what a difference it makes to you – maybe even a difference to how you appreciate the small things during the day?
