Plate it up...

When we go to a restaurant we have a plate of food served to us, presented with care and an amount with the restaurant considers is a good portion.... we don't always agree!

At home however, people are quite likely to put the serving dishes on the table. Help ourselves and then continue to help ourselves again to seconds or thirds without really thinking about if we are hungry and if we really need any more.

How about this idea for this week:

Create your plate - use your creativity and imagination, bring in colours and textures, or simply serve from the kitchen and bring it to the table all ready.

Observe how you feel when you are looking at it, smelling it, tasting it and, if you are still hungry for more at the end, wait, have a drink and then get up to serve some more if you still want it.

Doing this is a great way to feed our 'eye hunger' - one of the seven different types of hunger that we experience.
